I was scared because it’s my first time. But, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be!

Not really sure how to caption this random shot at a random place in Legoland

It was an unexpected trip that happened just a week ago. And up until now, I still can’t believe it happened.

My sister called me up one week before the flight. I had to say yes! It’s Singapore and I’ve always wanted to travel. So I took my leaves and packed my bags.

It’s my first time to ride a a plane, first time to be on my own (like without my Mom), and of course, first time to be out of the country.

Of course, in Singapore, we went to see the Merlion. Then we went to Universal Studios, where I took my (yet another) first ride in a roller coaster. Man, did my heart drop along with the ride! But the Mummy roller coaster ride was definitely my favorite. We took two rides on it, as well as in Transformers. And of course, aside from the rides, we took tons of pictures. These are just some of them.

We also went to Legoland, Malaysia where I took another ride in roller coasters. Not just once, but a bunch of times! The roller coaster rides weren’t as scary as the ones on USS but they still made me scream (a little bit).

Overall, despite the tiresome walking and waking up early in the morning, the trip was definitely something I will never forget. I hope I get to do more traveling in the future. One can always hope.

#Wanderlust: Angeles City, Pampanga

I am always looking forward to the weekend, hoping for something like this to happen. What I thought was just a simple visit to a nearby church for Sunday mass turned out to be a two-hour drive to Angeles City, Pampanga.

It was a bit raining on the way there and there was still a very light rain shower in Pampanga when we arrived. Nonetheless, it wasn’t a big deal for us not to enjoy the old churches that we visit. First stop was Apung Mamacalulu Shrine. There wasn’t any mass there but we were able to come up to Apung Mamacalulu and prayed our hearts our and light some candles. It was a very solemn place and my heart was beating weirdly while I was there. I hope it’s a good sign.

Next one was the Holy Rosary Parish, just a few blocks from Apung Mamacalulu. This is where we heard the mass. It was also an old church and we also lit some candles and prayed.

Before heading home, we had dinner at Doray Ihaw Ihaw.  I wasn’t able to take much pictures of the whole place because we were starving and my ‘trying to be artsy’ shoes photos didn’t do the place much justice hahaha. The food was good, if only the barbecue was easier to eat 😁

The road trip was definitely one for the books but the thing that I always treasure every time we go out is the laughter we share inside the car. No breathtaking location can suffice the fun we have when we’re all together on the road.

#Wanderlust: Saint Pio Chapel in Libis

They said that when you leave a rosary to this church, it means that whatever you asked for was granted. This was my first time to visit the church yet I opted to give a rosary. It’s my way of saying that although I haven’t asked beforehand, I am already thankful for whatever it is that I have now and for many other blessed things that are on my way. Because sometimes, I don’t even need to ask. He just gives.
